On Saturday, February 11, we’ll suspend the regular RACE route for a day and head up to Raleigh for the annual Historic Thousands on Jones Street (or “HKonJ”) march, in which we’ll join with coalition partner, the NAACP-NC, to celebrate the diversity of our anti-amendment cause. All fair-minded folks are encouraged to attend this unprecedented march to defeat the Amendment.
We’ll conclude the day-long events by heading back to the Queen City to resume the RACE with an evening panel discussion from 5-6 p.m. featuring members of other southern state equality groups as well as representatives from national PFLAG to discuss how discriminatory measures like Amendment One have negatively impacted other states in our region.
